FAQ – Towed Vehicle

Improperly parked vehicles, individuals with outstanding parking fines, or those found in a restricted area will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Towed vehicles may be claimed by contacting Parking & Transportation Services at 865-974-6031 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (or kickoff – whichever is earlier) to schedule a time to retrieve the vehicle. 

For claims of towed vehicles weekdays after 4:00 p.m. or on weekends, you must make an appointment in advance during normal business hours by calling 974-6031.

Impounded vehicles may be claimed at Parking and Transportation Services at 2121 Stephenson Drive.

Reminder that all fines and fees must be paid before a vehicle is released and a Valid Government Photo ID must be presented. Some fees include:

1. Impounded vehicle $60.00 (plus $5.00 per day storage fee)
2. Booted vehicle $42.00 (plus $3.00 per day storage fee)
