City of Knoxville Public Parking Downtown Options for Home Football games

Downtown Knoxville Public Parking – No cost

  • Closest to campus – Poplar St lot
  • Downtown garages – Main Ave, Dwight Kessel, City County Bldg, & Locust St, State St, and Market Square
  • East of downtown – Civic Coliseum Garage

Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) Bus Information

Regular KAT bus routes can bring fans to campus for the Orange and White football game and the LSU baseball game. The cost is only $2.00 for a day pass and allows more fans the option to leave their vehicle at home.

Route 11 – Kingston Pike (including Walmart and West Town Mall)

Route 17 – Sutherland and portion of Kingston Pike near Bearden Kroger

Route 42 – Fort Sanders and UT Hospital

KAT Trolley – Orange Line – FARE FREE – will be operating on Sat, Apr 13 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. If you choose this option, park downtown, head to campus, then come back to one of the MANY incredible Downtown Knoxville Restaurants.

 

Options near campus not managed by the University of Tennessee 

  • City of Knoxville Parking Meters are available near campus on Terrace Ave, Lake Ave, White Ave, 16th, 13th, and 19th sts.  Meters usually begin at 6 am on gamedays. Parking meters are enforced on game day.
  • Ft. Sanders Hospital reserves parking for employees and hospital visitors only.
  • University Commons $20.00 – very close to campus (located between Ag campus and main campus). Please note – this is NOT UT Property and there is NO free parking for accessible parkers.
