Clarence Brown Theatre

The language below is from our friends with the Clarence Brown, Carousel, and Lab Theatres

We recommend that you allow at least 30 minutes to find a space at the McClung Tower Parking Garage or one of the parking lots mentioned below. Your first choice may not always be available, so be prepared with a second option in order to avoid running late.

All performances will start on time and late seating is not always guaranteed.

PARKING

McClung Tower Upper Level Parking Garage

We encourage all patrons attending CBT productions to park in the McClung Tower Parking Garage (G2) on Volunteer Blvd. It’s Free! We reserve this garage exclusively for you for each performance and place parking flags in front of the entrance so you don’t miss it.

Once you park in the garage, take the elevator at the back of the garage to the 1st floor, walk straight ahead, exit the Humanities Building, and the Clarence Brown and Carousel Theatres are in front of you. It’s less than a five-minute walk. Please be aware that there are two sets of stairs between the Humanities Building and the theatre plaza.

  Accessible Parking

If you have a government-issued ADA/Accessible parking placard or license plate, four reserved spaces are available in Staff Lot 23 immediately adjacent to the theatre, located behind the Carousel Theatre and near the accessible entrance. We also reserve the remaining spaces in this lot for overflow accessible parking. Accessible spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is the best place to drop off patrons with mobility issues.

Please inform the House Manager at (865) 974-8287 if you require special assistance entering the building.

Staff Lot 23

Although Staff Lot 23 is the closest parking lot, located behind the Clarence Brown Theatre, we cannot guarantee that these spaces will be available and free for our patrons. Spaces in Staff Lot 23 are often extremely limited due to campus activities, so if you’re running late you may want to choose another option.
