Departmental Arranged Visitor Parking

University departments that invite visitors to campus should contact us to arrange for visitor parking. Requests for special guest parking should be submitted to Parking and Transportation Services as far in advance as possible.

NOTE: The primary UT Knoxville Visitor Parking is the Vol Hall Garage located at 1545 White Ave, under the Volunteer Residence Hall.
Staff 9 next to the Student Union is NOT a designated visitor parking area. 

Here are the options for the department to arrange parking:

QR Codes for Volunteer Hall Visitor Parking

Arranged by the department at least 7 days in advance

  1. Department-paid QR codes – provided to guests to validate their parking
  2. Conference rate QR codes – provided to guests and these authorize a $5.00 conference rate instead of the hourly rate at Vol Hall

QR Code Form – must be submitted at least 3 business days in advance 

Print-On-Demand

Access to this portal must be requested in advance. This functionality allows you to print permits as needed, BUT only limited areas are available due to others being at capacity.

Special Event Parking

UT departments or groups requiring special parking in support of a university-sponsored event need to complete:

I understand that to receive credit for unused parking permits, the permits must be returned within 24 hours of the start date of the event (or next business day).

Refunds will be limited to no more than 50 permits per day or 25% of the number of permits purchased, whichever quantity is less.
