The University of Tennessee Knoxville opened a NEW parking garage between Terrace Ave and Lake Ave. The address for GPS is 1800 Lake Ave with entrances off both streets.
After 6:00 pm on weekdays until 3:00 am – the parking structure is FREE and available for guests to the University of Tennessee and the Cumberland Ave merchants to park. On the weekends (except for home football game weekends) the hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 am. There is NO overnight parking in this garage.
The garage also has real-time availability through the UT app, select parking, then select G17 garage.
Directions
- Follow I-40 to Alcoa Highway 129 exit
- Merge onto U.S. 129 (towards the Airport and Smoky Mountains)
- Take the Cumberland Ave/Kingston Pike exit
- Turn left onto Cumberland Ave and follow to the 3rd light
- Turn right onto Volunteer Boulevard
- Follow Volunteer Boulevard around to the 2nd light
- Turn left onto Terrace Ave and continue till almost end of street
- The G-17 Terrace Ave Parking Garage will be the 2nd garage on the left
