Commencement / Graduation Parking
Helping you park, as it istime to celebrate
FREE parking is available for all graduates and their guests in student parking areas. (Student lots will be marked NC for Non-Commuter Core and CC for Commuter Core).
Limited Mobility / Accessible Parking
G-10 Garage – enter from Neyland Dr due to construction. The top level is reserved for accessible and mobility-limited Commencement guests. Once guests have parked, they can proceed across the ramp to Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
Parking Options By Ceremony Date
Thursday, May 15
Because Thursday, May 15 is a regular workday on campus, there will be limited parking available within the core of campus for Commencement. Please do NOT park in Staff (S) parking spaces.
- G-10 Garage – located next to Neyland Stadium (enter off Neyland Dr due to construction). The top level is reserved for accessible and mobility-limited guests.
- CC6 across from the Arena – Enter from Lake Loudoun (next to Andy Holt Tower across from the Food City Center)
- G16 Volunteer Blvd garage (1320 Pat Head Summitt St) – enter from Pat Head Summitt St
Friday, May 16
Since Friday, May 16 is a regular workday on campus, there will be limited parking available within the core of campus for Commencement. Additional parking is available at the Civic Coliseum Garage (501 Howard Baker Ave) with free round-trip shuttle service to Food City Center.
Please do NOT park in Staff (S) parking spaces.
Off-Campus Guest Parking (Friday only)
Commencement guests are invited to park for free at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum Parking Garage (501 Howard Baker Ave) and ride a UT shuttle to Food City Center. Round-trip shuttles will operate from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Buses will drop off and pick up at the intersection of Chamique Holdsclaw and Lake Loudoun.
On-Campus Parking

Additional Accessible Parking
- Commuter Core 4 (CC4) on the Ag Campus behind the Vet Hospital. Accessible shuttles will run round-trip from UT Gardens on Jacob Dr to Food City Center from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Accessible shuttle will drop off and pick up guests at the Arena Cafè entrance at Food City Center.
Saturday, May 17
