Is Your Vehicle Road Trip-Ready? Free Driver Education Event Returns Nov. 23

Give yourself the gift of a road trip-ready checkup before you drive home for the holidays.

UT Fleet Management invites students to its fall Road Trip Ready, a community event that empowers drivers with knowledge and skills to take care of their vehicles. The free event takes place Monday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Stephenson Drive, next to Regal Soccer Stadium and Commuter Remote Lot 25.

Road Trip Ready features 30-minute vehicle checks with Fleet Management’s team of certified mechanics, who will walk participants through a pre-road trip checklist — covering everything from tire pressure to what’s going on under the hood. The event will also include a self-service cleaning area, giveaways, interactive activities and more.

Students seeking a vehicle maintenance education appointment with a mechanic are required to register ahead of time. Save your spot today.

The event is hosted collaboratively by Fleet Management, Parking & Transportation, the UT Police, the Office of Sustainability, Environmental Health & Safety, and the Center for Transportation Research.
