The parking areas around Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center are utilized for concerts and special events. For large concerts at Food City Center parking costs $20. Parking is available on the Ag Campus at the reduced rate of $10 with accessible shuttle service to the arena beginning approximately 90 minutes before the event. To avoid traffic backups on Neyland Drive, enter campus via Joe Johnson Drive.
Some events offer advance purchase premium parking.

Student parking for late afternoon/evening classes during special events
The following parking areas will be designated for students with a valid parking permit (CC, CI, CR, PR-Commuter Permits or T-Evening Permit) who attend class on weekdays Mon. – Fri. during events or concerts. Some lots are not available if baseball is playing:
- Staff 9 – @ Student Union on Phillip Fulmer Way
- Staff 23 – @ Music on Pat Head Summitt Street
- Staff 7 & CC19 – 11th Street Garage
- Staff 7 – @ Second Creek off Cumberland Ave
- CI12 – Terrace Ave G17 garage
- CI18 – corner of Clinch Ave and James Agee
- CC21 – White Avenue Garage
Faculty/staff parking for late afternoon/evenings during special events
Faculty and staff with a valid parking permit who work on weekdays Mon. – Fri. during an event or concert may park in these areas:
- Staff Area 9 @ Student Union — Phillip Fulmer Way
- Staff Area 23 @ Music — Pat Head Summitt St
- Staff Area 12 and CI21 — White Ave Garage
- Staff Area 12 and CI12 — Terrace Ave Garage
- Staff Area 7 & CC-19 — 11th Street Garage
Note: Parking is also permitted in any other unreserved or unattended staff lot
