VolPark Adds New Features For Spring Semester

UT Parking and Transportation is excited to announce the addition of several new features in the VolPark app. VolPark launched in the fall 2024 semester and was developed through a partnership between UT Parking and Transportation, the UT Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program (HIBEP), and ParkZen.

The new features include announcements of lot closures and specific event-based parking information. Additionally, users now have the option to display parking information for multiple permit types and receive alerts when they are parked in restricted areas.

VolPark supplies parking information for more than 150 parking areas on campus, incorporating the functionality to save preferred lots, see the top available areas, and receive guided navigation to the best available parking areas according to a user’s permit type.

VolPark uses crowdsourced data to provide real-time parking lot occupancies, meaning the more users there are, the more accurate and reliable the information becomes. The only outgoing data from a user’s device is a randomly generated anonymous ID with the latitude, longitude, and timestamp of a parking event. No personally identifiable information is stored or uploaded on the app.

Download and begin using VolPark today to enjoy a commuter parking solution designed for the Vols by the Vols.

VolPark is available on both Google Play and the App Store.
