Student Parking Permit Refund Deadline

Graduating students, those studying abroad, leaving campus for internships, or leaving UT – you can return your parking permit for a refund.

Return your 2025-26 student parking permit for a 50% refund of the original full-year price (less any outstanding fees).

How to Request a Refund:

  1. Permit refunds begin Dec. 1, 2025
  2. Bring your hangtag or accessible sticker to Parking and Transportation at 2400 Sutherland Ave.
  3. Complete the Student Permit Refund Request Card (on-site at the Parking Office).
  4. Once the refund is initiated by Parking and Transportation, it will be submitted to the Bursar’s Office for processing.
  5. Refunds will generally show in your MyUTK account within 3-4 weeks.

The Parking Office is open Mon-Fri from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
The office will be closed from Dec. 22, 2025 – Jan 1, 2026, and will reopen on Jan. 2, 2026.
