Traffic Congestion Expected for Zach Bryan Concert

Heavy concert traffic is expected in the area around Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on Thu., May 9, and Fri., May 10.

There are sold-out Zach Bryan shows on Thu., May 9, and Fri., May 10, with 20,000+ total guests expected each night. Special event parking goes into effect at 4 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the concert beginning at 7 p.m. on both nights.

We recommend students, faculty, and staff avoid the area when exiting campus and utilize Google Maps to avoid congestion.

CONCERT – Zach Bryan @ Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center at 7:00 p.m.

  • Special event parking begins at 4 p.m.
  • Doors open at 6 p.m.

Pre-Paid Parking

  • Lots close to the arena: G1, G2, G3, G4, G5/30, G16, Circle Park, S9 at Art & Architecture, and S30 Speech & Hearing

Public Paid Parking

  • $20 concert parking – S7 on Neyland, G10, C22, GF2, GF3, GF4, and C1
  • $10 concert parking
    • Ag Campus – FREE Shuttle begins at 6 p.m. on Joe Johnson, Accessible FREE shuttle begins at 6 p.m. at the Business Incubator Bldg
    • C-25 Stephenson Dr (near Softball and Soccer)

FREE Parking

  • FREE Park & Walk – G17 Terrace Ave Garage (1800 Lake Ave) or G12 White Ave Garage (1621 White Ave)
  • FREE Park, Shuttle, and Walk – G13 11th St Garage (1101 Cumberland Ave) – Shuttle will bring guests to Gate 21 and then it is a short walk to the arena
