ESPN’s College Gameday is headed for Rocky Top and will broadcast the popular pre-game show from 9 am to noon Saturday September 24th at Ayres Hall. This means there will be significant impact on the Hill starting on Wednesday September 21st.
- Access to Circle Drive from Cumberland Ave will be limited to handicapped parking access and production traffic only beginning Wednesday morning
- Parking on The Hill next to Ayres Hall lawn will be closed Wednesday-Friday. Temporary handicapped parking will be located on Circle Dr near Dabney-Buehler and in the Perkins Hall lot accessed from Middle Dr.
- The T bus system will continue to operate along Circle Drive
Starting on Wednesday afternoon the trucks will start loading in, building stages, running cables, etc. Please avoid the Ayers Lawn for Wednesday – Friday morning. ESPN and their workers will also be parking in the S7 lot off Cumberland during this time.
Classes will be operating as normal and we advise people needing to get to the Hill – please allow additional travel time. As mentioned above, the T bus system will operate as normal.
ESPN will have an office on the 4th floor in the Science & Engineering building and have reserved some spaces in that building on Friday. Please be aware of these special arrangements.
