QR Code Parking Validation Vouchers OR $5 QR Code Conference Rate Parking

 QR code Parking Validation – Department/Program Paid OR Conference $5.00 Rate – MUST be requested in advance of event

QR codes will be valid for 120 days

What Form of payment valued at $5 available to UT departments, programs, and colleges. The paper QR code vouchers are required for audit purposes. No refunds or returns of QR vouchers. Only order what you need.
   
Why Departments/programs/colleges choose to pay for certain guests to park at UT and will charge this $5 cost to their department, program, or college. The event host may also want discounted daily parking for guests attending conferences, workshops, and events. QR code vouchers create a paper trail for the audit with supporting documentation.
 
Example of $5.00 conference rate Dean of Students office has requested 50 conference rate parking spaces for  a student leadership conference. This request authorizes Parking & Transit Services to provide the conference rate to those 50 attendees. Each attendee will pay $5.00 to exit the garage.

For audit purposes, Parking and Transit Services (PTS) has justification why the hourly rate was not charged for these vehicles exiting the garage.
   
Example of Department paid conference parking College of Social Work has requested 5 QR codes for guests for a board meeting. The college will be paying for their parking. This request authorizes Parking & Transit Services to provide 5 QR codes to the department to distribute. Each attendee will present the QR code ticket as they exit the garage and will not need to pay anything (as the college is paying through a departmental charge).

Print and Distribute
  • Print from email confirmation
  • Print QR parking validation on WHITE PAPER ONLY
  • Distribute to guests
  • Guests will use as method of payment OR the code will allow the guest to pay $5 conference rate rather than regular rate of $1 per 30 minutes

NOTE: Keep Confirmation Email for Departmental Billing Backup!!!
Usage
  • Enter Vol Hall garage and take a ticket (DO NOT scan the QR code when entering the garage)
  • Exiting – Guests first insert parking ticket then scan the QR code:
  • Either the department will be charged the $5 rate OR The guest will be charged the $5 conference rate

NOTE: QR codes are NOT refundable
