UTK/PSCC Bridge Program Transportation and Parking

Volunteer Bridge students are responsible for their own transportation to and from all PSCC campuses.*

Students can drive, walk, or bike; carpool with classmates; or take public transportation when available.

Parking at The University of Tennessee Campus

  • Parking Permits are required 24/7/365
    • Residential Students (Non-commuters-living in UT housing) purchase a N parking permit and are able to park in ANY of the 16 Non-Commuter parking areas
    • Commuter Students (Commuters) purchase a C parking permit and are able to park in ANY of the 23 Commuter parking areas
    • Students are NOT assigned a specific lot, garage, or parking space. Parking is on a first-come basis.
  • Summer Parking Permit Prices starting early July
    • Non-commuter Summer = $50.00 and Commuter Summer = $31.50
  • Fall and Spring Parking Permit Prices (August 15 to May 15)
    • Non-commuter Fall/Spring = $294.00 and Commuter Fall/Spring = $188.00
      NOTE: that these rates are subject to change
  • Also, motorcycle permits are offered at different rates.

Parking at Pellissippi State Community College (PSCC)

  • PSCC students may park in designated lots at PSCC campuses without a hangtag or decal for free

  • Transportation costs are NOT included in Bridge tuition
  • Students should carefully consider their transportation options when determining which PSCC campus to attend and whether they want to keep a vehicle on UT’s campus.

Transportation to PSCC at Division Street Campus (approx 20 min)

  1. Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) system Route 17  (click for link to map and schedule)
    The fare is $1.50 each way, or a $130 student pass, granting unlimited rides for 130 consecutive days, is available to UT and PSCC students. The 130 days start on the first day of use.
    Purchase discounted KAT bus passes in the UT Student Ticket Office (located in the new Student Union at the Volunteer Blvd entrance) or at any PSCC campus. (Cash or credit – $6.00 transaction fee for credit cards)
  2. Bike or walk using the City of Knoxville Greenways
  3. Drive their personal transportation or carpool with one another

Transportation to PSCC at Hardin Valley Campus

*This free bus service is only for those attending PSCC’s Hardin Valley campus. The bus service to PSCC’s Hardin Valley campus will follow this schedule:

  • KAT system Route 11 -Cumberland Ave to Knoxville Station (click for link to map and schedule)
    • Transfer at Knoxville Station to KAT system Route 31 to Magnolia
      The fare is $1.50 each way, or a $130 student pass, granting unlimited rides for 130 days, is available to UT and PSCC students.
