Bus to West TN
UT to West Tennessee
The UT to West Tennessee initiative provides safe and affordable charter bus transportation for students living in Nashville, Jackson, Memphis, or the surrounding areas during long breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring).
The cost for this service is $55.00 for each break. Students have the option to travel one-way or round-trip; the fee is the same.
Routes and Schedule
Saturday, March 9th – Campus to Nashville/Jackson/Memphis, TN
The buses will arrive in front of Hess Hall (1720 Melrose Pl) at 8:30 AM EST on March 9th for departure. The buses will depart promptly at 9:00 AM EST, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early and no later than 8:45 AM EST to load luggage and get on the bus so that the trip will leave on time. Please note that each passenger is limited to one suitcase (for the baggage area under the bus) and one small carry-on item for personal use during the trip.
The buses will travel I-40 westbound and arrive at the Nashville drop-off location at approximately 11:00 AM CST. After departing from Nashville, the buses will travel to Jackson and arrive at the Jackson drop-off location at approximately 1:00 PM CST. Finally, the buses will travel from Jackson, TN, to Memphis, TN, for a final drop-off at approximately 2:30 PM CST.
Sunday, March 17th – Memphis/Jackson/Nashville, TN to Campus
The buses will depart from the Memphis pick-up location at 11:30 AM CST on Sunday, March 17th , en route to Jackson, TN. The buses will then arrive at the Jackson pick-up location at 1 PM CST. Please arrive to your respective pick-up location about 20-30 minutes early to ensure you have enough time to load your luggage and board the bus. After departing from Jackson, the buses will travel to Nashville and arrive at the Nashville drop-off location at approximately 3:00 PM CST.
The buses will arrive on campus at approximately 7:00 PM EST and will drop-off in front of Hess Hall (1720 Melrose Pl). Please make sure your ride from the drop-off location is prepared to be there on time to pick you up, as the buses are unable to wait with individual students.

Registration
