ESPN’s College Gameday is headed to Rocky Top and will broadcast the popular pre-game show from 9 am to noon Saturday September 24th at Ayres Hall. This means there will be significant impact on the Hill starting on Wednesday September 21st.
Starting on Wednesday morning the trucks will start loading in, building stages, running cables, etc.
Specific details:
- Access to Circle Drive from Cumberland Ave will be limited to accessible parking access and production traffic only beginning Wednesday morning
- The short segment of street in front of Walters Academic Building will be change direction temporarily to WESTBOUND only for Wednesday-Friday
- Parking on The Hill next to Ayres Hall lawn will be closed Wednesday-Friday.
- Temporary accessible parking will be located on Circle Dr near Dabney-Buehler, behind Perkins, and in the Perkins Hall lot accessed from Middle Dr.
- The T bus system will continue to operate along Circle Drive
- Pedestrian pathways around Ayres Lawn will be affected Wednesday – Friday
- Classes will be operating as normal and we advise people needing to get to the Hill – please allow additional travel time
