UT Police is recommending that all Vols with bicycles on campus protect your valuables. Please remove your bicycles from bicycle racks and either take them home or store them in your dorm room to keep them safe.
Thefts can happen at any time and when 20,000 people are not around bikes can be an easy target for thieves – even with a great cable lock.
ALSO – Please make sure your bicycle is registered and is displaying a FREE bike permit. Permits are available at the Circle Park Information Book from 7 am to 4 pm. If your bike is stolen and recovered, a registered bike is much easier to return to the owner.
Special note: When school dismissed in March there were over 100 abandoned bikes on campus which were confiscated. Please remove your bike from the bike rack and secure it indoors or take home for winter break.
