National Gold Star Memorial visits UT Nov 8-11

National Gold Star Memorial “Remembering Our Fallen” visits UT Nov 8-11, 2018. This photo memorial will be displayed on the pedestrian walkway from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon.

Sponsored by HonorAir Knoxville, Prestige Cleaners, Prestige Tuxedo in partnership with the University of Tennessee & UT Sports.

“Our mission is to honor our military from today’s War on Terror going back to World War II, including those who have died, while serving the United States of America. We do that by creating photo memorials, holding events open to veterans, their families and the public, and recording stories to share with future generations.”

Sunday November 11th is the recommended day for guests to visit the memorial and FREE parking will be available in the S-23 parking lot by Natalie Haslam Music Bldg and Clarence Brown Theater.

NO public parking is available on Saturday Nov 10th due to football game with Kentucky on campus.

Update on parking:  Due to student and staff parking on campus for classes, guest parking available in the new Terrace Ave garage:

Saturday Nov 10 UT vs Kentucky Football – football game attendees are encouraged to walk over and experience the memorial
NO parking is available due to gameday
