Accessible Parking Permits for Visitors

Visitors needing accessible / handicapped parking are required to get a new UT Daily Accessible / Handicapped Parking Permit.

Visitors need to provide the following in order to park on campus:

  • State-issued handicap placard/license plate, and
  • State registration for the accessible/handicapped placard

Daily Accessible permits are available at:

  • Circle Park Campus Information Booth
  • Parking & Transit Services office – 2121 Stephenson Dr (located off Neyland Dr & Joan Cronan Way)

The permit is valid in all marked campus accessible/handicapped spaces and all campus unreserved spaces and has no fee.

After 5 pm, an accessible/handicapped parking plate/hang tag is sufficient.

Please note: Circle Park unreserved spaces are still limited to 45 minutes.

Visitor Parking

Parking for our students, faculty, and staff is our first priority; however, we want our visitors to have access to safe, convenient parking as well. We also recognize that visitors to campus have different needs with different time restrictions.

Quick Trip?

FREE 45 minute Visitor parking is available at Circle Park

  • Location – center of campus – convenient to Undergraduate Admissions, Communications, Dean of Students, UT Housing, Human Resources and Graduate School.
  • Stop at Circle Park booth to receive the timed stamped permit
  • Cost – $1.00 for every half-hour (with a maximum of $10.60)
  • Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Overnight parking is not allowed
  • Circle Park does NOT have public parking on Home Football Gamedays

Parking limits in Circle Park are strictly enforced, so watch the clock!

Longer Visits

 

Hourly Visitor parking is available at the Volunteer Hall Garage

  • Location – north side of campus behind the College of Law, enter off White Ave
  • Cost – $1.00 for every half-hour (with a maximum of $10.60)
  • Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Overnight parking is not allowed.
  • The Volunteer Hall Garages does NOT have public parking on Home Football Gamedays.

Daily Visitor permits are available for $5.00 at:

  • Circle Park Campus Information Booth
  • Parking & Transit Services office – 2121 Stephenson Dr (located off Neyland Dr & Joan Cronan Way)

When you receive the permit, it will indicate where you are to park.

Campus Tours

If you are coming to campus for a campus tour, please park at the Visitor’s Center on Neyland. More information and directions are available on the Undergraduate Admissions website.

Here for a Conference or Event?

Arrangements for conference parking may be made in advance through Parking and Transit Services by calling 865-974-6031. The conference parking rate is $5.00 per vehicle if this has been arranged in advance.

You may also want to check with the department putting on the event. Some visitor permits are sold directly to departments for their guests or for resale to their visitors (for camps and events).

There is no free parking for visitors at night or on weekends.
